Adele’s career twist

The singer, 29, has been approached by film chiefs remaking the 1968 classic. This could be a career move for Adele after hinting she no longer wanted to tour. It would the first acting role for the Londoner, who said in June she was done with touring.

In a message to fans, she said: “I only ever did this tour for you and to hopefully have an impact on you the way that some of my favourite artists have had on me live. A source close to Adele — mum to four-year-old Angelo — said: “It would be a major part for her and she’s seriously considering it.

“She’s talked about Angelo being her number one priority and she sees this as a role that he could appreciate too. It would be a new challenge for her but one she would definitely be up for.”

It will mark Adele’s first acting role in a film, after penning the soundtrack for 2012 James Bond flick Skyfall.
