‘If I say I had chicken biryani for lunch, I’ll be told to stay in Pakistan’ – Arshad Warsi

The Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi has always tried to stay away from controversies and has never talked about something like that on social media or even in person. But, his recent comment may give rise to a new controversy as it talks about how giving an opinion in India could cost you your life.

Speaking in an interview with local media, he said that he is scared to give an opinion on social media. “Honestly, I don’t know why others are doing it. But I know that even if I tweet that I had chicken biryani for lunch, I’ll be told to stay in Pakistan. That’s the fear. Every time you say something, you get trolled for it so badly. It’s not even worth it. That’s why I stay away, and I’m happy.”

He further adds,“I’m not the kind of guy who fights. I don’t fight at home. I don’t fight at work, while shooting or otherwise. I just don’t like the idea of fighting. ‘Live and let others live’ is my motto.”

Well, that’s really a nice way to go about things, but expressing your opinion for the fear of being judged is not going to work either. Now that he has given an opinion about something, let’s see how his fellow Indians take it.
