Well, a snap can lead to wonders! A selfie-seeking French tourist was bitten on a knee by a crocodile at Khao Yai Thai national park. The tourist tried to get extremely close to the hostile animal, in bid to take a selfie.
As revealed by the authorities of the park, this unfortunate incident took place on Sunday. AFP quotes the park official as:
“She wanted to take selfie with the crocodile who was lying down near a stream. It was startled and bit her on the leg. I guess that she wanted to see it for real.”
Local Thai media also posted pictures of the 47-year-old injured, strapped to a stretcher with a thick bandage wrapped around her knee, being carried away by park rangers. Another picture also depicts a ranger facing a pool of blood of the victims close to a sign reading in Thai and English; “Danger Crocodile No Swimming”.
