Raees’ most talked about point has been the fact that it stars Pakistani actress Mahira Khan in the lead.
It was earlier reported that Mahira would fly down to India to promote the film. Shah Rukh had met Maharashtra Navnirman Sena’s Raj Thackeray, who strongly opposes presence of Pakistani artistes in films, and assured him that Mahira won’t be coming to India to promote the film.
Despite this situation, Mahira is still promoting the film in a smart way.
Mahira shared on Twitter a picture where she is sporting a T-shirt with her dialogue from the film, ‘battery saala’, written on it.
Raees has been directed by Rahul Dholakia and is slated to release on 25th January, 2017.
