Recently Ranveer Singh was seen in an ad in which he is decked up in western formal, carrying a woman on his shoulders while a lift boy in the background sports a smirk. The billboard ad, which was displayed in 12 cities, shouted out; “Don’t hold back. Take your work home.”
A complaint against the ad was registered in the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) for the company to withdraw the ad. However, the actor chose not to go the carefree way and has responded positively to all the criticism.
“I’m sorry this happened. We got it wrong on billboards. We have rectified the mistake and the ad was withdrawn immediately.”
