Secret to that glow

Glowing skin means different things to people. Many people use the term to refer to skin that looks healthy and “awake” rather than dry, dull, or unevenly textured. For some, healthy skin results in a natural sheen, or “glow.”

You won’t find the secrets of how to get glowing skin in the pan of a highlighter palette. Glowing skin is something many people strive to have. For some, radiant skin is an outward sign of health, while others wish to achieve this look for cosmetic reasons.

If you’re feeling blah, a two-minute face massage can help you look alive in the short term, as well as firm and contour over time. Using your fingertips, massage a serum or oil into your face before applying makeup. To begin with, follow a skincare routine religiously using products that suit your skin. Try to avoid harsh chemicals, sulfates, parabens, phthalates, dyes and fragrances. Layer your skin beginning with the lightest product and ending with the thickest. Remove all your makeup before you doze off at the end of a day.

Moisturize your skin with products that lock in moisture, promote healing, and have antioxidant properties to encourage a glowing, youthful look. Don’t exfoliate your skin when it feels dry, and don’t skip moisturizer just because your face feels oily. A healthy diet benefits the entire body, including the skin. Even if a person has a good skin care routine, they may not find their skin looks healthy if they do not take care of themselves internally.
