Drama serial Akhir Kab Tak just came to conclusion with a heart wrenching last episode, which made a lot of us actually cry. How many times have we seen news channels cover harassment incidents? If we extrapolate, we’re hearing about another assault or harassment case roughly every other day but no actions are taken and we hardly see any case reach a positive conclusion.
Sarah Asghar beautifully portrayed the role of a timid girl who was harassed at home by her own cousin, which led to her getting into bigger problems. The drama showed that all fingers are not alike, if we have devils we do have angels in the society as well. We need to recognize and mark a difference between people and make the right judgments .
Fajar was harassed by her own cousin, abused and black mailed by her teacher both of which are relations that are honored and trusted in the society. The drama came to a very good conclusion by punishing the culprits and conveying the message to all the girls out there to stand up for their rights and never lose hope.
It was indeed great to see such a taboo topic presented in a subtle and well written way.
